Brunelli House

Facts on DFCI. Intro to use cases?

My father was a patient at DFCI for three and half years, receiving treatment for high-grade neuroendocrine cancer

During the last few months of his life, my father experienced recurring rounds of infection, each requiring several days of hospitalization for treatment

Day or night, when the infection returned, my mother drove my him into Boston. She spent her days beside his hospital bed and her nights in whatever hotel was available

Hotel prices were high, food options were limited, and services were disconnected from my family’s needs. The very concerns that Brunelli House seeks to support

Brunelli House is in memory of my father, Peter L. Brunelli, and in honor of my mother, Barbara Keras Brunelli. Their legacy is family and because of them other families will be better off

Vision

Brunelli House will be a dedicated full service, non-profit hotel that provides compassionate, supportive accommodations exclusively to Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) families with loved ones undergoing treatment or hospitalized

Mission

Our mission is to support families during challenging times by providing affordable fixed-rate accommodations, on-site family amenities, and personalized services tailored to the unique needs of those with loved ones at DFCI

Impact

Patients will maintain vital connections with their families throughout their treatment, as loved ones are welcomed and cared for alongside them at Brunelli House
